This silence that prevails
Warns me of storm brewing
This stagnation sucks out
any life left of me
Darkness of the night
Has lingered too long
Waiting for the light to come
from dusk to dawn
I searched for hope
In this night of gloom
Any sign of rescue
That can impede the doom
My patience my faith
Seem to waver
How long shall I strive
This fruitless endeavour?
